In recent weeks I’ve had the pleasure of writing with @ThadCockrell. For those of you unfamiliar with his music, visit the myspace page and check out his new E.P. “To Be Loved”. These songs are amazing, and the dependence on Jesus shines through. He’s a gifted songwriter and through our sessions I’ve already learned a ton about lyrics, melody and the songwriting process.
The first song we wrote is called “Set Upon Your Wonders”. While we came into that session with several songs to work on, we felt God leading us to work on something completely new. Our hope is to create sounds of joy that reflect hearts changed by the Savior. At times this joy comes through yearning, thankfulness, or even despair. Those three things are actually dealt with in this song- we hope you enjoy it! Keep in mind: demo version. Look for this in upcoming weeks at @V21Church.
