Welcome to the site of Vintage21 Worship.
Specifically, this site deals with the corporate worship of the church on a Sunday morning through music, communion, prayer, tithes and offerings, and listening to the Word of God being preached. Perhaps in time it will deal more with the worship that takes place the other 167 hours per week, but for now, we’re dealing with Sunday mornings.
A blog has been on my mind for quite some time, but I’ve been discouraged from starting one. The first deterrent was time. While many people think as a Worship Pastor most of my week involves playing guitar and singing, it’s been much more than that. Over the five years at Vintage21 it’s included heading up the design team, events, copywriting, the worship bands, and techs in addition to the pastoral duties of an Elder- teaching, counseling, studying, spiritual discipline, and more. However, thanks to the hard work of @Nate_Williams, Executive Pastor at V21, the right people are coming into the right positions, and my time is now much more focused on leading the church in worship of God.
The second thing holding me back was that blogs often start strong, with regular postings, then fade out, with postings becoming more infrequent. Meanwhile, you have been sucked in, and are left checking every few days to no avail. This is easy to let happen- a few years ago I wrote talkstretch.com, which after a while it went the way of most other blogs. It wasn’t good feeling as if readers were let down by a lack of posting, so it seemed wise to wait until it could become a regular part of my week.
The biggest reason was that I have nothing of great value to say. If a fun, lighthearted blog couldn’t stay afloat, how would a theological or musical blog survive? However, over the past few months, God has put a great deal on my heart, and this is a time of growth in my life as a worshiper of Christ, and in the life of @V21Church. It’s an exciting time, and time to get this site going!

Many thanks to Reid Serozi for hours of help over the years with blogs and other web stuff. I appreciate it, Reid.
